Personal Training Council NSWby James Short (Acting President)
This report will outline the aim and direction of the Personal Trainers Council (PTC) which are working towards in-order to fulfill its mission and vision. The PTC has come about since its conception 3 yrs ago. The last 6mths has seen the introduction of various portfolios into the council which has bought clarity and direction. These portfolios consist of areas that the council members felt a need to be addressed and acted upon. These areas are: Each portfolio has an aim, objective, responsibilities and key performance indicators (KPI’s). Therefore, the aim for each portfolio is as follows: The President - To effectively represent the personal trainers in NSW by leading them with a team of individuals (PTC) who have a strong and professional industry voice. Careers Advisors - To provide career guidance and support for people considering entering the personal training industry right through to those who are veterans of the industry. Industry Data Officer - To establish and maintain industry statistics that are key indicators of the performance and trends in the fitness industry and of clients of the fitness industry. Website Officer - To provide a user friendly and informational / educational website for all personal trainers and community to use. Marketing and Branding officer - To increase revenue for PTC and FitnessNSW . Increase the public understanding and perception of the role of Personal Trainers within the community and as an industry. CASPAC & TRAC officer - To represent the PTC at CASPAC & TRAC meetings whilst increasing the awareness of the role of Personal Trainers to these organizations. Liaison Officer - To manage and act upon complaints from personal trainers regarding industry matters. Facilitate relationships with the Fitness Professional Committee and Education Providers on the awareness of the PTC and its role within the industry. In summary, these portfolios make up the PTC and together help facilitate and grow a successful personal training industry. |
